ABOUT

I developed Bare-skim when my daughter was a junior in high school and going to swim at State for the first time. I promised her a tech suit if she made State. Word was that tech suits should be 1 to 2 sizes smaller than their regular suit for maximum effect. Going to the swim shop to try on tech suits was an eye opening experience. I saw kids frustrated, complaining and some just giving up on trying to get a tech suit on.  My daughter was no exception.

I was shocked that nothing but a pair of useless gloves were given to help us get the suit on. After about 45 minutes of struggle, my daughter managed to get a suit on, one size smaller. We purchased it for the whopping $400.  I thought if this is so stressful just to get the suit on to swim faster this would not be a good experience at State. I searched all over to find something to help with compression wear tech suits. Nothing was out there.

After exploring many ideas, I came up with the Bare-skim concept, a simple idea that allows the high compression fabric to slide. I developed a proto type for my daughter to use at State. It worked like a charm. My daughter got her suit fully on in 5 minutes. She was stress free for all the big meets. She still uses her prototype today swimming in college.  I wanted to share the bare-skim with everyone who needs help getting the tech suit on – no stress – just competitive swimming.

The product is hand-made in Chicago, Illinois. If you have any questions or comments please email me at info@bare-skim.com . I truly hope this product will help ease the stress of donning a tech suit and make the big meets more enjoyable for the whole family.

Swim fast,
